Here’s this week’s music...
New single by the Killers, which is like a lost New Order album track from 1986. I love it, though the vocoder is maybe a bit much. I’m off to see them again in Edinburgh tomorrow night because why not.
#Last Week
Managed to get stuck into the first draft of Fenchurch 10, cutting 12k words – as you know, that’s a bit light for me. They’re good words, don’t get me wrong, but something came up...

I’m now represented by David Headley, one of the Bookseller’s top 150 most influential people in Biritish publishing. As well as being a stellar agent, David’s the co-founder of Goldsboro Books, a fantastic bookshop in central London with a second branch in Brighton, and the founder of Capital Crime, one of the UK’s biggest crime festivals, which takes place in London every year. Aside from that, he’s a lovely guy with an incredible passion for books, in all shapes and sizes.
We’re still figuring out what this will mean for my output in future, but I am ridiculously excited to be working with David. Needless to say, it’s going to involve books written by me, so you can rest assured!
#This Week
It’s a pretty busy one with non-work stuff (but still work), so my progress is probably going to be limited to a bit of work on the train on Sunday, but also wandering around Greenwich in London for some location malarkey for F10.
I’ll be in London from Wednesday to Sunday for Capital Crime festival. I’m appearing there for my first time on Saturday morning, where I’ll be interviewed by David Headley (my new agent ^^^) live on stage for his podcast, Confessions of a Book Collector. I’m stepping in for Robert Goddard and I’m pretty nerve-wracked by it – most book events I’ve done are panels, with 2-4 other authors, this will be a full hour of me. If you live in London or will be at the festival (Leonardo Royal Hotel St Paul’s), you can get tickets to see David asking excellent questions and me wittering on:

Hope to see you there!
Cheers,
Ed
I've just a spell in hospital and now at daughter's being pampered. Hip op went very well and I feel rejuvenated and improving the walking every day. Enjoy London.
Congratulations Ed, great news, well deserved.
Enjoy the Killers tomorrow, I’m sure it will be a fab night!
Good luck with the podcast, you’ll be great and have lots to talk about, the time will fly by! I hadn’t heard of the ‘Confessions of a Book Collector’ podcasts and had a quick look - there’s some I’d like to listen to and of course look forward to listening to yours!
